Y.E.S. Amaani Rwenzori Youth Development Center

Many young people in Uganda are not able to attend or pay for a college education. That is why Y.E.S. is working to build a development center. This school will teach people skills such as tailoring, carpentry, computer programs, engine repair, agriculture, and even entreprenuerial mentoring for those who want to start their own business. The school would provide housing for those attending; Carol would also like to have a garden tended by the students in the agriculture program. The crops grown there would supply Mana Rescue Home with fresh food.

Currently, Y.E.S. is working to build the development school. Land has been donated, and they plan to finish the school sometime around September, 2016. Ideally, this will be the same month our family arrives. My dad may teach some business classes, but my mom will work more personally with girls outside of the school. Both will help with discipleship training and leading bible studies. Carol hopes that this school will give kids a place to go after they've aged out of her program. By attending her vocational center, they'll learn skills to help provide for themselves and their families.
